Kate Middleton and Prince William aren’t known for their huge displays of PDA.

Nope, if you’re after a royal PDA moment, you’d be much better suited looking to the likes of Zara and Mike Tindall, or even Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry.

And as if we needed any more convincing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not about the cheeky displays of affection, a moment caught on camera has proved it once and for all.

Wills and Kate are by no means PDA-enthusiasts.

Prince William and Kate Middleton recently featured in the BBC special A Berry Royal Christmas, alongside British cooking legend Mary Berry.

In the one-hour show, the world watched with glee as the royals shared insights and moments together that we aren’t often treated to.

But there was one particular moment during the special that had to be pointed out by an eagle-eyed watcher, because if you blink, you’ll miss it.

Yep, just one small gesture from Kate in response to a little bit of PDA from Wills has sent the world into meltdown.

Did you spot it?

As the royal couple sit around a festive fireplace with guests, Wills goes to put his hand on Kate’s shoulder at one point.

But in the clip, Kate makes a sweeping gesture and pulls away from Wills’ touch.

The moment was picked up by a Twitter user, who wrote: “Kate shaking off William’s hand during #ABerryRoyalChristmas”.

Another user replied, “She moved with a quickness”.

The gesture has swept the internet, with some even calling it a ‘PDR’ (Public Display of Rejection) – ouch!

That aside, the royals definitely had a lot to say about their relationship during the candid show – even sharing one of William’s woo-ing techniques he used back while they were both at University.

As they spoke about how William occasionally cooks for his family at home, Kate revealed: “He’s very good at breakfast. In our university days he used to cook all sorts of meals. I think that’s when he was trying to impress me!”

Perhaps the Duke should stick to the avo toast when it comes to PDAs…

Wills and Kate tried their hands in the kitchen during the show.

Whether Kate intentionally shrugged off Wills or not, there’s no denying there’s plenty of love between the royal couple.

Mary Berry spoke of it herself, telling The Mail on Sunday that she was “so impressed” with the royal couple.

“It was just lovely observing them for those three days. When they are together, he’s constantly touching her arm and looking over at her smiling and she’s the same with him,” Berry said, adding that it was “so natural” to see.
