Duchess Catherine will be a Queen Consort one day, but in the meantime, she’s making the most of being a princess.
Stepping out on Monday evening after a busy day attending the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, Kate had transformed her entire look, wearing a gorgeous blue dress as she attended a gala dinner at Buckingham Palace.
While Kate herself was positively glowing for the occasion, the dress was a sight to behold in its own right.
This is a peak princess moment if we ever saw one.
Kate’s blue beaded gown, designed by one of her favourite designers Jenny Packham, featured an intricate embroided bodice with fine sparkly diamonds.
Falling into a flowy skirt, Kate paired a sparkly pair of glitzy Jimmy Choo heels with the evening look, and she finished it off to perfection by wearing her hair in loose waves.
Considering she was in an entirely different ensemble just hours before, this is certainly one of Kate’s greatest looks yet!
Kate was attending the gala dinner in support of Place2Be, an organisation that provides mental health support to children at an early age.
She joined a number of young guests and their parents for the event, sharing some sweet moments with them and posing for a group photo.
“You taught me, right from the start, that the children in your schools are only as happy and emotionally strong as the adults in their care,” Kate told the audience during a speech at the event.
“That is why you take such great pride in the work you do with your teachers and your parents.”
She continued: “You also taught me that it’s the simplest things that make a difference to children. It’s the quality time that is spent with them. It’s the time you take to listen to them. It is trusting relationships that have the most profound impact on the emotional and mental well-being of a child.”
We can imagine the Duchess’ young acquaintances won’t be forgetting this night for a while to come!
Mere hours before, Kate was seen at Westminster Abbey, where she attended the annual Commonwealth Day service alongside husband Prince William and her brother and sister-in-law, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan.
This time opting to wear an old favourite Catherine Walker coat in burgundy red, the mum-of-three couldn’t have looked more regally stunning.
Kate wore her enviable (and newly chopped!) brunette locks in a sleek up-do for the occasion, and popped a matching hat Sally-Ann Provan hat to finish off the perfect ensemble.
The Duchess’ busy day is another sign that 2020 is going to be a whirlwind and pivotal year for Kate.
As she and Wills continue to prepare to one day become King and Queen consort, the pair are making their voices heard and sharing their influence with the world more than ever.
And considering how many incredible charitable initiatives and organisations they are both a part of, this can only mean there are good things to come.
Hopefully, we’ll see many more stunning evening dresses from Kate in-between!
