Duchess Catherine is back in action after a brief hiatus – and she’s literally glowing with an unmistakable summer tan to boot.
The British royal stepped out to visit Baby Basic UK & Baby Basics Sheffield on Tuesday, where she helped volunteers with their ongoing work during the pandemic.
The 38-year-old looked revived and refreshed – not least because of her bright white outfit – but there was another eye-catching element that couldn’t be ignored.
Stepping out at the local charity, the Duchess wore a beautiful white midi-shirt dress.
But it was her gorgeous floral face mask from London-based boutique Amaia that stole the show – we want our own immediately (and to make it easier, we’ve found some great options here).
She styled her hair in loose waves, and accessorised her look with a pair of glitzy pumps.
Catherine has a long history in supporting young families, with her August visit shining a light on the support work being undertaken in the space.
Explained in a statement from Kensington Palace, new research has found baby banks across the UK have experienced a substantial increase in the use of their services during the coronavirus pandemic.
But worryingly, 77% of baby banks require more nappies, mattresses and other products.
The research also reveals nine in ten baby banks believe COVID-19 is making it harder to support families in the way they would like.
Duchess Catherine’s visit was a poignant reminder of this, and brought to light these worrying statistics in a different way.
During the event, the royal helped with unloading deliveries to the bank, sorting donations and she spoke with some families about their experiences with baby banks.
Kate also made a private visit to another baby bank in Norfolk, this time sporting a chic green printed dress and white sneakers.
The visit again reiterated how important the charity’s work continues to be throughout the pandemic.
While the visit itself was a welcome surprise, it wasn’t a big surprise to see the Duchess sporting her trademark summer tan.
In late July, it was revealed the royal mum and husband Prince William had taken their three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, away on a stay-cation in the Isles of Scilly.
According to a report from the Mail on Sunday, the young family stayed in one of Prince Charles’ residences, known as Dolphin House.
The royals are not unfamiliar with the location given Prince William has visited there before – once with his mother Princess Diana in 1989.
Eventually, William will inherit the home from his royal father.
If Kate’s general air of ease and calm today is anything to go by, we’d say they’ve secured quite the spot to stay close to home.
No doubt there’ll be many more stay-cations to come.
