Last month Woman’s Day reported that Princess Mary had been advised to cut ties with her closest Danish friend Caroline Fleming, due to the reality TV star’s partying ways.
Now the beloved 45-year-old is defending her long-time bestie, Amber Petty.
A palace source claims that Amber is facing the same ban as Caroline because of her obsession with mysticism and witchcraft.
Amber addressed the rumours, telling Woman’s Day, “That’s absolutely not true! Nobody from anywhere has ever told me it’s a problem.”
But royal sources claim there is mounting pressure on Mary to dump her bridesmaid.
Amber has played a huge role in Mary’s life, both before and after her 2004 wedding to Prince Frederik, and has often been photographed with the princess on her visits home to Australia.
But if rumours are true, their 20-year friendship is under pressure because of Amber’s new interest in witchcraft.
Last week, Amber added fuel to the fire, hinting at of a rift after posting two provocative messages on Instagram.
“Sometimes we outgrow people who aren’t growing,” said one.
“Real queens fix each other’s crowns,” read another, to which she added, “Truth.”
Amber insists neither message was about Mary.
