The happily-married couple stole more than a few affectionate glances as they arrived together and in style, mind you, at a dinner honoring the President of Iceland and his wife, who are spending three days in Denmark.

For the occasion, the Australian-born royal donned a plum Dolce & Gabbana dress, complimented perfectly by a jewel encrusted belt.

Accessorising only with diamond teardrop earrings, she completed the look with nude pumps and a cream coat which she draped over her shoulders against the chill.

Frederik, on the other hand, was every inch the dapper chap in a navy suit and burgundy tie to match his wife of 13 years.

The glamourous outing was the perfect end to their day, which had a full itinerary royal engagements.

In photos that can only be described as adorable, the mother-of-four can be seen visiting the Tante Olga Kindergarten in Copenhagen, where the teachers and children showed her how they use the material developed by the Mary Foundation.

Clearly peckish from her action-packed morning, Mary then enjoyed a cooking workshop, a spot of light lunch and a glass of champagne at the Copenhagen Hospitality College.

The genetically-blessed couple, whose love story began at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, now share four beautiful children together; Prince Christian, 11, Princess Isabella, nine, and five-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
