Looking red-hot at the 75th Annual Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix Princess Charlene has given us all a lesson in track-side style.

Stepping out on May 28, the mum-of-two stunned in a flowing scarlet gown by Akris. She finished off her ensemble with a pair of shades, nude pumps and a slick of red lipstick.

And fans made the very astute observation that Prince Albertโ€™s wife looked just like the red salsa dress emoji.

The couple attended the worldโ€™s most glamorous auto race in Monaco.

And fans were delighted by Charleneโ€™s red dress, that reminded many of this amazing emoji.

The former Olympic swimmer dazzled in an Akris gown.

Charlene was at the prestegious event in a royal capacity, presenting the competitionโ€™s winner Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel his trophy.

The Grand Prix is considered to be the โ€œcrown jewelโ€ of auto-racing, so of course Prince Albert gave it his seal of approval by going for a quick drive.

And his South African wife got the exciting spot of shot gun.

The 39-year-old former Olympian recently gave a rare insight into her life, speaking about her strong ties to her motherland of South Africa.

Charlene, who was born in Zimbabwe, spoke during a TV interview during an official tour of her former native country.

โ€œI am African,โ€ she told Eyewitness News, โ€œthis is my home. It will always be. Itโ€™s in my heart, itโ€™s in my veins and it always will be. I canโ€™t wait for them to come here. I canโ€™t wait to introduce them to Africa.โ€

The royal also spoke of her little ones, two-year-old twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, โ€œActually, theyโ€™re really a handful!โ€

โ€œTheyโ€™re beautiful, theyโ€™re smart. Full of energy. I really hope that in the next couple of years Iโ€™ll be able to bring them to South Africa, that would be an amazing moment for me.โ€
