Prince Harryโs charm offensive hit Sydney yesterday with hundreds of royal devotees camping out in the rain to catch a glimpse of the Invictus Games patron.
And KIIS FMโs resident ~zany guy~ Intern Pete, aka Peter Deppele, used his split-second encounter with the royal to attempt to play the game Hot Lava.
The concept is pretty simple, the ground is lava and you canโt touch it.

Harry was in great spirits as he launched the Invictus Games in Sydney on Wednesday.
As the 32-year-old stopped to chat to Intern Peteโs section of the crowd the radio worker shouted repeatedly at Prince Harry: โHey Harry! The floor is lava. Five, four, three, two, one! He doesnโt get the joke?โ
A bemused Harry initially chuckled before cautiously shuffling away, remarking to his host NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, โAnd heโs a friend of yous?โ
The camera then cuts to Gladys shaking her head profusely.
But Pete wasnโt done and awkwardly shouted out, โHarry! Letโs try again. The floor is lava. Five, four, threeโฆ No?โ
Despite the royal snub, Pete still touted his encounter on social media.
โSomething crazy went down. Video soon. #KJSHOW #SoSydney #SoHarry #PrinceHarry,โ he penned as a teaser.
Throughout the week, the KIIS crew have been playing the childhood game. However, it was a much harder move trying to play the prank in the teaming rain as hundreds of other punters awaited their moment to meet the prince.

This is the face of an unimpressed prince.
In April, Pete was slammed for walking the Logies red carpet only in underwear, painted gold and flanked with two short-statured people.
At the same event, it was also revealed Pete fabricated a story about Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis. In the Logies aftermath he claimed he saw Stefan โstumble out of the Logies, on to the street for a bit of fresh air and a vomit in the gutter.โ
However, the radio worker retraced this story and apologised to Stefan.
