Inside Prince Harry’s gruelling schedule for the Australian Army

He might be Royal by blood but Prince Harry will be treated just like one of the lads during his month-long stint with the Australian SAS.

The 30-year-old will be well and truly put through his paces thanks to an intense training schedule which, according to the UK’s Daily Star, will see the red-headed Prince perform hundreds of sit-ups, push-ups and long-endurance runs.

If that’s not enough, the younger brother of Prince William will also reportedly be challenged to complete a 10-kilometre walk with a 20-kilogram backpack in just seven hours.

An SAS source explained to the publication: “[He’ll] be expected to abseil from helicopters, do parachute jumps and take part in combat training and counter-terrorist exercises.”

It’s believed Harry, who has participated in two tours of Afghanistan and was a captain in the British Army, will be partly based at the Holsworthy army barracks in Sydney’s South West as well as spending time in Darwin and Perth.

No doubt Captain Wales will be returning from his Down Under secondment buffer than ever!
