Prince William’s private secretary, Miguel Head has revealed that Catherine, 32, is all about finding the perfect balance between her royal duties and motherhood.

“When she works in the evening, she spends the preceding day with George,” says a royal insider.

The working mother is said to be a natural when it comes to parenting and is focussed on getting it right.

And it’s not just quality time with her eight-month-old son that the Duchess carves out regular time for.

Catherine also knows the importance of keeping the spark alive in her marriage, and ensures there’s time for romance with her husband.

“It’s not the future king and wife who will do as she’s told,” says a friend of the couple, “but a husband and wife in the modern world.”

After the birth of Prince George in July last year, the Duke and Duchess took some time out from their royal engagements to spend it together as a new family.

The young royals arrived in Wellington on Monday, ahead of their visit to Australia next week.

The little Prince looks all worn out and has a rest on his mothers shoulder, after a big day mixing with other children in New Zealand.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a family photograph with their eight month old son Prince George, ahead of their upcoming tour of New Zealand and Australia.

The royal couple revealed they simply could not be away from their first born “so far and for so long”.

Catherine is said to be a natural when it comes to parenting.
