Harry loves Cressy: Prince's girl lands society magazine cover

She has only been dating Prince Harry for just over a year but Cressida Bonas has already landed the cover of a British society magazine.

Cressida appears on the October 2013 issue of Tatler — its “royal romance special” — with the cover line “Harry loves Cressy”.

Many royal watchers have taken the cover as confirmation Harry and Cressida’s relationship is serious.

“When upmarket magazine Tatler christens a royal relationship with a hallowed front cover, it means things are getting serious,” the Daily Mail’s Charlotte Griffiths said.

“Kate Middleton didn’t make the cover until 2011 — eight years after she began dating Prince William. But today, the relationship between Cressida and Harry has been branded official.”

Rumours Harry was planning to propose to Cressida have been swirling for months, but gained momentum recently when Harry whisked Cressida off on an African safari — just as his brother William did when he proposed to then Kate Middleton in 2010.

Kensington Palace — the London residence of Prince Harry, William, Kate, and baby George — is said to be holding dates for ‘an announcement’ later this year, fuelling rumours of a spring wedding for Harry and Cressida.

Prince Harry is said to be “very fond” of the 24-year-old dance student, according to friends, and they go to great lengths to keep their relationship private after his last flame reportedly fizzled out following reports ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was uncomfortable with the focus and attention that royal life brings.

Cressida, who comes from an aristocratic family, is said to be similarly uncomfortable in the royal spotlight and the couple are rarely photographed together.

They were spotted kissing on the ski slopes shortly after they started dating last July, and friends have described their relationship as a “full-on romance”.

Last month a friend of the couple told E! News Harry was convinced his blonde partner was “the one”.

“I would not be surprised if she’s the one he marries,” the friend said.
