David Beckham had the honour of meeting Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at a function for Young Leaders of 2016 on Thursday.
But although the famous footballer says he was “very proud to have been invited” to the occasion, his daughter Harper was reportedly beside herself with excitement!
David made the confession about his little princess shortly after he arrived at Buckingham Palace for the reception.
Apparently, the four-year-old even asked if Daddy was going to be “drinking tea” with the Queen!
It’s the second time David has attended the event, and he says he was “very nervous” the first time his name showed up on the invite list.
This time the 41-year-old was all confidence and smiles, as he waited in line to greet the monarch.
He shook the 90-year-old’s hand firmly and assuredly, before having a few words with Her Royal Highness.
The father-of-four said he hoped his own children would be inspired by the young participants in the program.
