How time flies! It feels like yesterday that the world waited in anticipation to get its first glimpse of little Prince George and in a few short weeks the tiny tot turns one!
Like any other family, the Duke and Duchess are expected to celebrate the milestone birthday with a party but the bash is likely to be a low key affair with the Cambridges joined by close family and friends.
While the details of the party havenโt been released, little Prince George is likely to sit on his motherโs knee and blow out his candles with his father singing Happy Birthday in his ear, all of which will be distinctly different from the day William turned one.
The Duke spent his first birthday on June 21, 1983 with his nanny, while Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana were overseas in Canada on official royal business.
Victor Chapman, Prince Charlesโ press officer, said at the time: โThey felt the trip is too short to take Prince William. They will be spending much of their time on the royal yacht Britannia and the seas can get pretty rough this time of the year.โ
