When Prince George was born, Kate’s father Michael took the official family portrait in the gardens of the Middleton’s family home.
For Princess Charlotte’s first official portrait, Kate decided to take the picture herself.
Kate has a passion for photography, and in recent years some of the happy snaps released by the Palace to commemorate momentous occasions were taken by the Duchess.
We reckon she’s done a pretty good job of capturing the bond between Charlotte and her big brother, George.
Princess Charlotte was born on the morning of May 2 at St Mary’s hospital, London. She is the first princess born into royal succession in 25 years.
The Princess is fourth in line to the throne after her grandfather Charles, her father, William and older brother, George.
Charlotte will be christened next month at St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham – the same church Princess Diana was christened in August 1961.
Remember the first official portrait of the Duke and Duchess with baby George? This shot was taken by Kate’s father, Michael.
Baby George is sleeping soundly in his first portrait, while Charlotte is awake and smiling.
