The youngsters were celebrating the Cubs’ 100th anniversary and Catherine jumped straight into the fun festivities.

Kate headed to King’s Lynn, where she joined 24 very eager school kids.

Rocking her favourite Really Wild brown boots, Kate looked ready for the elements in a pair of Zara khaki jeans teamed up with a grey turtleneck jumper and the signature Cub’s scarf.

The queen of casual chic, the 34-year-old kept her brunette locks out in soft waves and opted for her beloved natural make-up.

Looking the part, Catherine is no stranger to the Cubs, having worked as a volunteer when she and William lived in Anglesey.

Looking fab!

At the event, Catherine gave everyone an insight into what she’s like as a mother to little three-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Eagerly getting involved, the proud mummy played a parachute game with the cubs.

She also helped them mark the milestone with the addition of some yummy cakes.

As a fan of The Great British Bake Off, Kate aided the kids with the decorating and we can imagine the Queen of baking, Mary Berry, would have been VERY impressed.

“Who wants the pink?” She was heard asking about one of the Cubs 100 decoration for the cupcake.

After all the kids remained silent, she laughed, “No one, it’s me then!”

Pledging her allegiance.

Parachute games help develop teamwork and cooperation skills.

The royal mum was very amused during an important activity – teaching the kids how to tie a sling.

In an emergency, it can be a life saver, but in this case, it had Kate in a fit of giggles.

Dylan McKenna, a nine-year-old from Heacham, Norfolk, used the Duchess’ arm as his subject, tying it in a sling with the special Cubs 100 scarf.

“It was fun putting her arm in a sling as I was one of the only ones,” he said afterwards.

“She said I did a good job. She said ‘well done I’m very impressed with this’. She kept the sling on for a wee bit then took it off. She asked me what badges I got and how much I enjoy cubs.”

“She was exactly how I expected her to be, really kind, delightful and just a pleasure to be with. It was great that she came to see us and sing happy birthday.”

Dylan wasn’t just imparting his knowledge with the royal.

He also gifted the Duchess of Cambridge with two very sweet and matching Scouts teddy bears, to give to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

“I said, ‘I hope George has a wonderful Christmas,’ and she said, ‘I will definitely put this under the tree,'” Dylan said to People.

“We have hundreds of events planned across the United Kingdom, with a chance for each and every one of our 150,000 Cubs to take part.”

The mum had such fun

“We passionately believe that Cub Scouts gives young people the skills they need to succeed in life, helping them develop resilience, self-reliance, confidence and initiative,” he continued about the Scouts, which was officially founded on December 16, 1916.

“That’s why I’m encouraging adults from all sections of the community to help ensure that the next generation of young people can be Cub Scouts.”
