Prince George is enjoying his final days as an only child, with Duchess Catherine due to have her second child in a matter of weeks!
Despite the expectant- mum busy schedule, the Duchess scheduled in some mother-son bonding time, by taking curious George to the London Science Museum.
Curious George is clearly a fan of Museums, after all, the official portraits released for his first birthday last year showed the cute toddler with his parents Kate and Wills as he played with the butterflies at London’s Natural History Museum – right next door to the Science Museum. Both landmarks are located all within a few blocks of the family’s London home at Kensington Palace, alongside Hyde Park, where Kate can often be seen taking the young Prince out to play.
Patrons at the popular museum noticed the two enjoyed thePattern Podsection, which is a “multi-sensory” gallery that is targeted at the youngest children. The museum describes thePattern Podas capturing the patterns “around us and encourages children to recognise and copy patterns – or create entirely new ones of their own.”
While the museum and the palace haven’t commented on the mother-son play date, an insider at the museum shared with PEOPLE that, “They seemed to enjoy themselves. It’s lovely that she feels she can bring George here.”
This may be the last time she takes her little Prince out before the birth of baby number two, with the Duchess confirming she is expecting to give birth “mid-to-end of April”.
The 33-year-old was visiting a children’s centre in Woolwich, London where she spoke to mums and families supported by the charity Home-Start.
“I told her she is beautiful and that she’s got a tiny little bump,” volunteer Christie Osborne, 49, told Hello! magazine. “I asked when her baby is due and she said mid-to-end of April.”
The Duchess has even sorted her easter egg shopping for her boys. She was recently spotted The Conran Shop, which was favoured by Princess Diana.
With the arrival of the royal bub any day, 80% of the public thinking she’ll have a girl, we’re sure Prince George will be excited about the arrival of his baby sibling!
