Duchess Catherine looked resplendent in regal-red, and did her best to keep attendees bright and cheery despite the dreary weather.

Eagle-eyed onlookers spotted Kate’s royal coat by Catherine Walker and immediately noticed it was another of the Duchess’s recycled outfits from her 2011 trip to Canada.

Not only that, but the lady in red also donned a very special pair of earrings… a bespoke diamond pair she wore on her wedding day to Prince William!

Here comes the lady in red! Duchess Catherine looked a vision at the ceremony.

But nothing compares to the regal finery of Prince William!

The mother-of-two attended the event sans Prince George and Princess Charlotte, instead arriving with her mother-in-law Duchess Camilla of Cornwall.

And while the rain never really eventuated more than a few drops, the festivities of the royal ceremony were altered for a wet weather plan.

Camilla frocked up in a champagne Anne Valentine ensemble.

The Queen’s dress couldn’t be seen under all her traditional velvet robes!

Usually Prince Charles and Prince William and the rest of the royal Knights would have walked in all their finery of velvet coats and ostrich-plummed hats to the service, giving viewers a real treat.

Because of the threat of rain, they enacted a rainy day plan, driving to the event to protect their royal outfits.

The Princes drove to the event because of wet weather.

Even Queen Elizabeth wasn’t immune to the wet weather.

She usually arrives as the event in a regal carriage alongside Prince Philip, but this year she was forced to do her royal wave from inside a car.

But the soggy day didn’t deter fans from lining the streets to catch a glimpse of their beloved royals.
