Prince William and Duchess Catherine have honoured the victims of the US mass shooting in Orlando on June 12.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a special trip to the US Embassy in London to pay their respects to the victims of the unspeakable act.
The royal pair signed an official condolence book mourning all those lost and affected by the shooting in Pulse, a gay nightclub in the US.
When they arrived, Kate and Will were guided to a table before a flag that had been presented to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by the Kaleidoscope Trust, a globally active LGBT rights group.
The 33-year-old Prince took the task of composing the message to be placed in the book.
“With our deepest condolences and with our thoughts and prayers to all those affected,” he wrote.
His 34-year-old wife, mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, then signed the statement that echoed her own thoughts.
At the event, the royals met with the US ambassador as well as several representatives from the US Embassy’s LGBT network.
Prince Harry reportedly wanted to join the Duke and Duchess to also honour the victims but was unable to make this particular appearance.

However a source confirmed to US Weekly that Harry has been doing his part to mourn the loss and reach out to those affected.
“Prince Harry was unable to join them but he has been speaking at length to people out in Orlando privately, because he spent a significant amount of time out there recently for the Invictus Games,” an insider explained to the publication.
