Duchess Catherine and Prince William take to the seas for the 2016 America’s Cup

The royal pair visited the America's Cup race to cheer on Sir Ben Ainslie’s team.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William had a wild water adventure as they sped through the ocean in a high-speed catamaran at the 2016 America’s Cup.

The royal parents were in Portsmouth to cheer on Sir Ben Ainslie’s racing team alongside thousands of enthusiastic supporters.

Sporting adorable matching jackets and T-shirts emblazoned with Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cambridge, the pair sat on the front of the boat as it chased after the racing team at high speeds.

These two look totally at ease on the water!

The 34-year-old royals waved and cheered on the team as their boat raced past, before presenting Sir Ben and his crew with medals once they were on dry land.

Meanwhile Prince William revealed that Prince George may have been a little bit overindulged during his third birthday celebrations on Friday.

We somehow think maybe the royal pair are well-known enough to not have to have nametags!

Kate and Wills also got a look at the inner workings of their vessel.

Prince William confessed to the children that Prince George was indulged on his birthday.

When asked by a 10-year-old boy what the little Prince had received for presents, the father of two seemed reluctant to say.

“I am not telling!” he replied.

“He got too many things, he’s far too spoiled,” William said.

The Prince also revealed that although George loves his planes, he’s not into boats yet.

Catherine looked casual in a sporty ensemble.

The royal couple took to the stage to congratulate the team.

After the medal presenting ceremony, the royal couple were removed from the stage before the racing team began to their tradition of drenching each other with champagne.

The Duke and Duchess were also invited around on a tour of the home base of Sir Ben’s Land Rover BAR racing team.

Kate is an official royal patron of the 1851 trust, which is affiliated with the group, and aims to get children involved and interested in the maritime industry.
