The Duchess of Cambridge is due to spend two days in the exotic island location of Malta, as she leaves hubby Prince William behind with baby Prince George.
Duchess Kate, 32, will visit the island as a representative of the Queen, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Malta’s independence from the UK.

Catherine will arrive on Saturday September 20 – just five days after her brother-in-law Prince Harry’s 30th birthday (for which she is said to be organizing a big bash at Kensington Palace).
The Duchess’ first event will be at San Anton Palace, where she will meet with President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. She will also be based at the stunning Palace location throughout her visit.
On Saturday she will be given a taste of what the Mediterranean island has to offer, viewing a re-enactment of historic military events, visiting the National Library, meeting with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and celebrating the country’s Independence Day with a formal gathering at the Palace in the evening.

On the Sunday, the Duchess is scheduled to attend a church service at St. John’s Co-Cathedral before continuing on to visit the government’s Agency for Youth, touring the historic Vittoriosa Square, and viewing Maltese art at St. Lawrence’s Church.
Although only in town for a total of two days, the royal will pack plenty in, concluding the brief trip with a boat ride around the Grand Harbour, with views of Vittoriosa and Valletta, followed by an event a Garden Party at the British High Commissioner’s Residence for further independence day celebrations.
No doubt Prince William and Prince George will be grateful to have their Duchess back upon her return as it is her first solo foreign tour since giving birth to Prince George, aged one. Of course, the Duchess and Prince William did visit Australia and New Zealand on royal tour earlier this year, but they took the young Prince with them – who won hearts wherever he went!
