While Prince Harry visited Australia, his girlfriend Cressida Bonas was back in London preparing herself for royal marriage, which is said to be on the cards next year.
The 24-year-old English socialite began dating the 29-year-old Prince in May last year after being set up by Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie.
Despite the couple’s early efforts to keep their relationship out of the public eye, they’ve increasingly been snapped out in public, most recently attending a James Blunt concert and comedy musical The Book of Mormon together in London just before Harry flew to Australia solo.
Insiders say Cressida, a dance student, used that alone time to come to terms with the rigours of royal life and that she’s now resolved to wed and have children with the cheeky Prince.
“Cressie is going to marry Harry,” one of her friends told The Sunday Telegraph.
“Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea.”
Woman’s Day this week revealed that Cressida is a big fan of Australia, having spent a year working here in 2011 and pouring beers for a pub crowd who – like her – had no inkling of who she’d one day become.
Here’s raising a glass to the idea that the royal couple choose to spend some together time back in Australia once they’re wed!
