Swedish glamour couple Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist open up about the early days of their relationship and the first time Sofia met the family.
In an interview for the Swedish documentary, The Year with the Royal Family, princess-to-be Sofia Hellqvist told reporters about when she was first introduced to her future in-laws, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
“It has been speculated that I wasn’t embraced by the family but it was the opposite,” Sofia said in the interview, adding that the first time she met the Swedish monarch and his wife was at Solliden Palace where they had a “charming lunch”.
Regardless of the speculation about the couple’s struggles to blend their two worlds together one thing is for certain – the Swedish duo make a great looking pair.
