We first celebrated the birth of Princess Eugenie’s baby boy, August on February 9. Then came Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s announcement of an impending second baby, making little Archie a big brother.

Oh, and we can’t forget the down-to-earth Zara Tindall, who is expecting her third child with husband Mike Tindall in the coming months.

Yes, we’ve got royal babies a-plenty on our minds in 2021 – and just when we thought that would be enough for one year, we’ve got another little regal incoming.

Yep, in a wonderful reveal, confirmed by her own mother in a magazine cover story, Duchess Catherine’s younger sister Pippa Middleton is set to welcome her second child with husband James Matthews.

All was made official in the latest issue of Good Housekeeping when Carole, who graces its cover looking gorgeous at 66, told the publication: “I hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild.”

The family are known for their wholesome nature and love of the countryside.

Speaking of her four grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Pippa’s first child, Arthur, in the interview, Carole explained: “I want to run down the hills, climb the trees, and go through the tunnel at the playground. As long as I am able to, that’s what I’ll be doing. I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides.”

The news that Pippa was pregnant again first surfaced in December last year, with Page Six, and then a flurry of other reputable publications including PEOPLE also sharing the update.

“Pippa and James are thrilled, it’s fantastic news amid a difficult year. The entire family is delighted,” a source told Page Six.

Pippa and James married in 2017, and welcomed their two-year-old son Arthur Michael William Matthews in October 2018.

Pippa followed her elder sister’s lead by giving birth at London’s Lindo Wing, where she remained in the days following Arthur’s birth.

It is likely she may choose the Lindo Wing to give birth to her second child, but that said, Page Six also claims the pair are close to purchasing a 72-acre country estate in Berkshire – a spot not far placed from the Carole and Michael Middleton’s home.

Stay tuned – more royal baby news is guaranteed for the foreseeable.
