Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is just weeks away and like most, we’ve come down with a serious case of royal wedding fever. How could we not – the hype around the glorious affair is contagious! So much so, even members of the royal family have become swept up in the pomp and pageantry, namely, the Duchess of Cambridge’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
Ahead of the May 19 nuptials, the couple who own party supply company Party Pieces, have stocked their online store with royal-themed wedding decorations including Union Jack flags, bunting and cake stands.
Hello Magazine discovered that if customers search “royal wedding” on the site a whole host of patriotic pieces perfect for the public’s own at-home celebrations appear.
Party Pieces, which Carole, 63, launched in 1987 sells supplies for celebrations including baby showers, weddings and hens parties, is very much a family-run business. “My children have played a huge part in [the business],” Carole writes on the website.
“James established our personalised cakes, Catherine started the 1st birthday side of the business, and Pippa developed the Party Pieces blog.”
Carole’s husband Michael has also helped to grow the business over the past 30 years.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will exchange vows in Windsor on May 19. And while we know many of the details like who is making the cake and who is (and more importantly who isn’t) invited to attend the magical affair, we’re yet to find out if Meghan has enlisted supplies from Party Pieces to decorate her special day.
