On Christmas Eve, Zara and Mike Tindall made the devastating announcement they had lost their second child.
And now the couple have returned to the public eye, making their first official appearance since the tragic news.
On Sunday, January 8, Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter attended the annual Magic Millions Polo on the Gold Coast.
Zara opted for a chic white sundress as she mingled with the crowd.
Later, the star equestrian took to the field for a game of polo. At one point, the British local fell off her horse but her adoring husband Mike reassured the crowd his wife was OK.
“That’s her will to win. She’s tough, she bounces,” the former rugby union player reassured guests over the loud speaker.
Mike and Zara have attended the event Down Under for several years now, with Zara being a patron of the Magic Millions Racing Women sect and Mike a proud ambassador for Magic Millions.
Just weeks after confirming their second pregnancy, Zara and Mike then had to reveal they’d lost their baby.
It’s believed the 35-year-old was about four months into her pregnancy.
“Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy,” a spokesperson for the couple, who share two-year-old daughter Mia, explained at the time.
