The Royals have a fun day at Ascot

The Royal Family enjoyed a colourful day out for Ladies’ Day at Ascot, especially Countess Sophie of Wessex who got particularly vocal and animated in the Royal Box as the Queen’s philly Estimate lost the Gold Cup.

In attendance were the Queen and Prince Phillip, Princes Andrew and Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, among others.

The style of the day was colour all the way, with Queen Elizabeth herself leading the fashion stakes in a turquoise Angela Kelly coat and matching Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat. Her outfit contrasted the Countess of Wessex who opted for a black calf-length dress and matching hat.

Prince Harry looked dapper as always, twirling his umbrella and flashing a cheeky grin while Princess Beatrice donned a cream coat and a tangerine Sarah Cant hat and Princess Eugenie went for a beige trench coat and a matching pillbox hat.

Princess Beatrice wore cream and tangerine, and a hat by Sarah Cant.

Princess Eugenie looked pretty in neutrals and a hat by Welsh milliner Robyn Coles.

A dapper Prince Harry kept his grandparents and Prince Andrew entertained.

Countess Sophie of Wessex got right into the spirit of the day.

The Queen stood out in turquoise as she was driven down the course.

The Queen’s horse, Estimate, came in second place on the day.

Princess Anne was striking in her navy and bright pink ensemble.
