The world is going into wedding frenzy over the news that Suits star Meghan Markle is officially marrying into the Royal Family. Last night, Kensington Palace announced the news that the American actress is engaged to Prince Harry and will be tying the knot in Spring (our Autumn) next year.
Meghan, 36, has starred as Rachel Zane for seven seasons on the TV legal drama Suits. It was recently revealed that the actress was leaving the series at the end of season seven when her contract was up, and will be moving to the UK to live with her new man.
Meghan’s co-stars have all wished her congratulations, including her on-screen partner, Patrick J Adams.
“She said she was just going to get out some milk…” teased Patrick.
He later followed the tweet with: “Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this: Your Royal Highness, you are a lucky man and I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious.”
Gabriel Macht, who plays the show’s main character Harvey Specter, and the show’s creator Aaron Korsh also offered their well-wishes.

Meghan and Prince Harry met through a mutual friend on a blind date last year and as the Prince tells it, he knew she was the one.
Despite the popularity of Meghan’s TV series, it seems Prince Harry hadn’t heard of it before.
“I’d never watched Suits, I’d never heard of Meghan before, and I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her,” he explained. “And there she was sitting there… I was like okay well I’m going to have to up my game … sit down and make sure I’ve got good chat.”
Not long after, the pair travelled to Botswana together.
“And then it was I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana,” the Royal said in their first TV interview together.
“And we camped out with each other under the stars, we spent — she came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.”
They’ve only been dating for a year and a half, but they both believe the relationship has been anything but a “whirlwind”.
“I don’t think that I would call it a whirlwind in terms of our relationship, obviously there have been layers attached to how public it has become after we had a good five, six months almost with just privacy, which was amazing,” Meghan explained.
“But no, I think we were able to really have so much time just to connect and we never went longer than two weeks without seeing each other, even though we were obviously doing a long distance relationship. So it’s – we made it work.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
