Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 57, has made her 2022 debut for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games looking nothing short of gorgeous.
The royal stunned in a Galvan London emerald green satin gown with a high neck, accessorised with a Sophie Habsburg brown clutch.
While commonly opting to wear her hair in an up-do, this time the countess let her blonde locks fall on her shoulders as she watched the ceremony.
Sophie was joined by her husband, Prince Edward, for the event after he sent his support for all of those involved.
In a special touch, the 57-year-old recycled the elegant satin number from her red carpet appearance at the Sulphur and White premiere in 2020.
At the time, her hair was characteristically pulled back, complemented with simple makeup and a small circular black bag.
It was a royal fashion moment not to forget, particularly as it strayed from the monarchy’s traditional style which heralds a more conservative wardrobe.
While Sophie’s dress has already stolen the royal show, she’s certainly not the only royal in attendance at the Commonwealth Games, which are taking place in Birmingham.
Prince Charles is representing Queen Elizabeth, and Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge are due to make an appearance.
