Despite the end of the year fast approaching, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex are not slowing down when it comes to their royal engagements.
On Tuesday, while in Scotland, the royals visited the town of Forfar, and their schedules were packed.
Dressed in a long white-grey coat with a wide collar, and her curly hair neatly resting on her shoulders, the countess visited the new purpose-built early learning and childcare centre at Forfar.
After Her Royal Highness toured the space, with new sensory rooms and a wrap-around garden, Sophie unveiled a plaque to officially open the centre.
While Sophie opened the new childcare centre, Prince Edward visited the Ogilvy Distillery – Scotland’s first vodka dedicated distillery.
The earl was given a tour of the family-run farm and even met some members of the community to thank them for their work following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
In a poignant touch, both Sophie and Edward attended Lowson Memorial Church for a Service of Thanksgiving to honour the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
After the special service, both royals spent time with the 200 congregants.
The visit was also marked on the official royal family Instagram account.
