The Queen is told to rest by doctors just one day after her recent public appearance

The Queen has been advised by her doctors to rest for two weeks just one day after she appeared to appoint the new United Kingdom Prime Minister, Liz Truss, Buckingham Palace has announced.

Her Majesty will be resting at her Scottish country residence, Balmoral Castle, where she received Liz and her predecessor Boris Johnson.

She met with the new Prime Minister on Tuesday.

“After a full day yesterday, Her Majesty has this afternoon accepted doctors’ advice to rest. This means that the Privy Council meeting that had been due to take place this evening will be rearranged,” a Palace spokesman said.

In taking rest, the Queen has postponed a key virtual meeting with her Privy Council which is a body formulated with senior politicians acting as Her Majesty’s official advisers.

During the gathering, Liz would have taken her oath and new cabinet minister would have been sworn into their roles.

Liz is the 15th Prime Minister to be appointed by the Queen in her long 70-year reign and is the 56th Prime Minister sworn into the UK.

There is a significant bruise on her right hand.

During this meeting, numerous royal fans noticed seemingly minor details that hinted at some health issues for the Queen including relying on a walking stick throughout the visit and her right hand was bruised.

“The queen looks so fragile,” one user observed.

“Look the Queen’s hand, what’s happened?” another penned.

“Her Majesty’s right hand looks darker than it should be. I hope it’s nothing serious and the Queen is doing well!,” a third added.

Buckingham Palace has additionally announced that the Queen will not be making the 1000-mile round trip around Scotland.

The Queen has suffered from mobility issues since 2021.

A source has informed CNN that the decision was made to avoid any last-minute alternative arrangements if the Queen experiences any episodic mobility issues that she has been suffering with since late 2021.

Her Majesty’s mobility problems have forced her to reduce engagements and public appearances.
