Queen Elizabeth is known for her bright and bold wardrobe, but her latest ensemble has taken things to the next level.
As part of an award presentation at Buckingham Palace earlier this week, Her Majesty was photographed wearing one of her brightest outfits to date – and she colour blocked it like a certified style pro.
In photos shared to the Royal Family’s official Instagram account, Queen Elizabeth is seen in a bright pink and red midi dress, which features long sleeves and a unique colour-blocked design.
The regal Queen added another touch of glamour by wearing her pearl necklace and earrings.
At 93-years-old, she’s continuing to make a lasting impression in the trending colour sphere.
While the Queen’s bright outfit was a sight to behold in itself, there was also a rather uncanny resemblance we couldn’t help but notice.
The pink and red hues channelled one of Princess Diana’s most iconic looks. Worn during her visit to Dubai in 1989, the Princess’ stunning Catherine Walker ensemble made a bold statement at the time.
Diana wore a matching hat with her bright dress suit, and just like the Queen, she added a pair of pearl earrings to finish off the look.
The Queen received the Order of St. John’s first Service Medal in Gold for the occasion this week, presented with an audience of Professor Mark Compton, Lord Prior of the Order of St John.
The Palace explained: “The Order of St John is a Royal Order of Chivalry first constituted as such by Royal Charter from Queen Victoria in 1888.”
In the Instagram post, many fans took to the comments section to voice their praise for Her Majesty – both on a personal and fashionable level.
“This dress is just 👌🏻!,” wrote one fan.
Another said: “Love this dress!!!! Congratulations!!”
“Such a stylish queen ❤️❤️❤️👸,” yet another fan mused.
We can’t argue with that – we’re loving this bold look!
