Together or not, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have a pretty special relationship.
And even though they divorced in 1996, ten years after they were married, they have remained the best of friends.
And now, 33 years after their 23 July 1986 wedding, their second daughter Princess Eugenie has paid tribute to her parents.
To celebrate this very special milestone, Mrs Brooksbanks took to Instagram, sharing two very special pictures from her parents’ wedding day.
“Who else has ever forgotten to congratulate their parents on their wedding anniversary?” she wrote in the caption.
“I’m a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago…”

The princess concluded the post with: “Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together.”
Despite going their separate ways, the couple have remained great friends – and more recently, have stepped out together to attend public engagements.
This year, the pair were seen at Royal Ascot and then at the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston.
In an interview with Hello!, Sarah revealed that she and her former husband were a “solid unit”.
“A table goes best with four legs. A table can’t stand on three legs, really, so you have the Duke and I, and the two girls,” she told the outlet.
“We’re a family unit and we lead by example. We support each other emotionally, and we support each other health-wise. At least every two weeks we sit down together and communicate, the four of us.” Speaking about her role as a mum, she added: “I think the one thing I’ve done incredibly well – although I say it myself – is that I’m a really good mum. And I think that my girls show that.”
Last month, The Duke of York, accompanied by the former Duchess of York, and their daughters, stepped out as a family, when His Royal Highness took part in his formal duty as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards at Buckingham Palace.
Princess Eugenie took to Instagram once again to share a wonderful photo and a sweet caption:
“Today, the Yorks were really proud of Papa @hrhthedukeofyork as Colonel of the @grenadier.guards.”
“He reviewed the parade and took the salute at the Colonel’s Review. The Grenadier Guards will troop their colour next week in front of their colonel-in-chief, Her Majesty The Queen,” she said.
Sarah also shared a photograph of the event.
“So proud of @hrhthedukeofyork on parade today for The Colonel’s Review with @grenadier.guards at Horseguards and also my girls,” she captioned her own series of photos from the day on her own Instagram.
But for fans of Princess Eugenie’s candid snap of the York ladies watching the proceedings from the balcony, it wasn’t quite as glamorous as it may seem.
Turns out the Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie weren’t standing but kneeling on the ground in their finery to get a better look.
Congratulations to Sarah and Prince Andrew on 33 years of friendship!
