You might have noticed London is getting a lot of sun at the moment.
After a long, cold and dreary winter (most of which was spent in lockdown) we can hardly blame what seems like the entire population of the city now flocking to any and every park to sunbathe, picnic and soak up some vitamin D.
And that includes member of Britain’s royal family, too.
On Tuesday, Princess Eugenie stepped out with her four-month-old son August for a particularly special summery event.
The royal took her newborn to London’s Green Park, where over 100 replicas of elephants currently stand as a drive to spread awareness for the endangered species.
“As a Patron of @elephantfamily and an honorary Matriarch it’s my pleasure to share this journey with you,” Eugenie explained of the project on Instagram alongside several gorgeous new pictures of herself and her son enjoying the elephant installation.
The unique project features several different types of elephant ‘herds’, with one in particular capturing Eugenie’s attention.
“Within The Tea Timers herd is a wonderful baby elephant called Assam August – and it was such a pleasure to take my August to meet him,” the Princess added.
In the cute images, Eugenie holds her baby son with a wide grin on her face as August looks on at the interesting models.

(Instagram)Eugenie’s followers were thrilled with the rare glimpse of August, with one commenting: “Thank you so much for sharing baby August with us. What a wonderful opportunity you both had to meet the herd today elephant.”
Another added: “How lovely! August looks just like his papa.”
“He looks very amused!” One quipped.

After a several-month hiatus from the social media platform, the happy ‘grammer has taken again to her social media platform to share family updates with her 1.5 million-strong following.
On Father’s Day earlier in June, the Princess shared several gorgeous new snaps of her husband Jack Brooksbank sharing some quiet, special moments with August.
“Happy Father’s Day to you my love.. you are the ultimate father to our boy!!” She wrote at the time.
And in May, Eugenie revealed another telling feat about her wee man.
On World Oceans Day, she shared a short video of her son cuddling a toy shark.
In the clip, it’s possible to make out August’s tuft of red hair – cute!
Eugenie shared this adorable picture of August in early June – that iconic hair colour is unmistakeable.
