Kate Middleton and Prince William’s royal wedding read like something of a fairytale back in 2011, and nine years later, the pair are still managing to send us giddy whenever a rare PDA moment occurs between the two.
But with three young children nowadays, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a lot more on their minds – naturally, date nights and the like take the back seat.
Lucky for them (and us) however, the pair recently got a golden opportunity for a night off from parenting. Together, they were seen attending a theatre performance the Noël Coward Theatre, in London.
Kate and William stepped out for the ultimate date night on Tuesday evening.
(Getty)There to see a performance of Dear Evan Hansen, the couple were all smiles as they made a short but sweet red carpet entrance.
Wearing a beautiful Eponine dress in black tweed, the Duchess was looking glamorous as ever, while Wills was ever the dapper Prince in a navy blue suit.
And while any sighting of the pair on a date night together is enough to send royal watchers into overdrive, it was actually a short video shared after the event that’s really commanded our immediate attention.
A rare video shared by the Palace revealed a rather sweet exchange between the royal couple.
(Getty)Taking to Instagram following the theatrical event, the Duke and Duchess’ official account shared a clip featuring various behind the scenes shots of the royals enjoying the evening’s spectacle.
Explaining how the show centres around mental health issues for teens, the Palace highlighted the importance of sparking conversations between parents and teenagers.
“The Royal Foundation’s work to tackle the stigma and encourage more people to talk openly about their mental health includes the development of @GiveUsAShoutInsta, a free and confidential 24/7 UK text messaging helpline that supports people in crisis,” the caption read.
The clip itself was eye catching – Wills and Kate are seen interacting with the cast members, hearing their stories and smiling and laughing with them.
But it’s the very last shot at the end, barely lasting two seconds that caught ours, and many fans attention.
Giving William a glowing look of admiration, Kate is seen looking ever the loved-up Duchess – and it’s utterly heartwarming.

Taking to the Instagram post, fans shared their love for the beautiful clip.
“That second of the Duchess smiling ❤️❤️,” wrote one fan.
Another said: “You can feel the love in this video.”

After the shock exit of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, many have noticed Kate and Wills have stepped up their appearances – and they’ve certainly taken it in their stride.
Kate in particular has been busy of late launching a nationwide survey named “Five Big Questions“, which aimed to gather and utilise insights provided by the public to inform and better equip parents raising the next generation of children.
