It seems like we can’t go a single day without word of yet another royal rift.
While we’d like to think the Sussexes and the Cambridges really are the “Fab Four” besties, a new report from respected Vanity Fair reporter Katie Nicholl claims they’re anything but.
According to Nicholl, Prince Harry and Prince William suffered a falling out over Christmas last year after Harry claimed his older brother wasn’t making enough effort to welcome his soon to be wife Meghan into the family.
“Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so,” a source told Vanity Fair.
In fact, their rift got so bad that their father Prince Charles apparently had to intervene.
“They had a bit of a fall out which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort. That’s when the Cambridges invited the Sussexes to spend Christmas with them,” the insider explained.
In an effort to bring his children together, Prince Charles tried to organise a family holiday at the Castle of Mey but only Harry and Meghan could make it as the Cambridges were already booked up.
Despite the brothers tension, a source tells Vanity Fair their wives Duchess Catherine and Duchess Meghan are still trying their best to get on.
“Kate and Meghan are very different people and they don’t have a lot in common but they have made an effort to get along. Any issues are between the brothers,” the insider explained.
The fact this new information has come from such a reputable publication like Vanity Fair, as opposed to a tabloid, has convinced many royal fans that there is substance to these latest claims.

This latest revelation comes as Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have announced they will be moving out of Kensington Palace and will no longer be neighbours with Kate and William.
In the New Year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make Frogmore Cottage in Windsor their headquarters as royal aides alleged the move out of London is due to growing issues between the two households.
Indeed, just yesterday a damning report from the UK’s Telegraph claimed Duchess Catherine was left “in tears” after her daughter Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress fitting for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding in May.
“Kate had only just given birth to Prince Louis and was feeling quite emotional,” a source told the publication’s veteran royal reporter Camilla Tominey.
And now more details have emerged over the “stressful” dress fitting.
The Sun reports Meghan wanted “the very best” for her wedding but when Charlotte’s dress fitting reportedly didn’t go to plan, it left Duchess Catherine flustered and in tears.
The outlet says the sisters-in-law have since put the run-in behind them.
