Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan might have only just welcomed their baby son Archie three months ago, but the question of baby number two is already hot on everyone’s lips.
And now, in a candid conversation that we weren’t expecting to hear so soon, we’ve got somewhat of an answer straight from the horses mouth.
Brace yourself, Archie, because Harry has just revealed exactly how many siblings he wants for him!
In the glorious new upcoming issue of British Vogue, which has been guest-edited by Meghan Markle in an historic first, we can expect to see a candid interview between Meghan’s husband and a very special guest.
Indeed the charming red-headed royal speaks to Dr Jane Goodall, celebrated ethologist and family friend of the Sussexes about a number of topics.
And between their inspiring words about conversation and environment, there was one line that’s piqued the interest of royal fans the world over.
While speaking about family planning along with conservation and climate change, Harry tells Goodall: “I view it very differently now, without question.”
He continues: “I’ve always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child and hoping to have children…” to which Jane interjects, saying: “Not too many!”
Harry then shared the golden nugget that has royal fans revelling: “Two, maximum!”
The very exciting revelation is welcome news to fans, who would love to see a baby sibling for Archie.
In the interview, Harry continues his train of thought: “I’ve always thought, this place is borrowed. And surely, as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.”
Harry and Jane have recently shared some sweet moments together in the public eye. Earlier in July, the pair attended a special event in London where they chatted together like old friends.
Jane also revealed that she had met baby Archie in June, saying she had shared a cuddle with him and describing the newborn as “very cute and very gentle.”
The candid conversation between Harry and Jane in Vogue is one that will no doubt be devoured by readers as the September issue of the magazine hits stands at the end of the week.
Meghan’s milestone edit of the iconic fashion bible will also feature 15 women who were hand-selected by Meghan for being “changemakers” and “trailblazers”.
Among the women who feature on the front cover are Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern, body positivity advocate and actor Jameela Jamil, women’s rights advocate and actor Salma Hayek Pinault and campaigner and actor Jane Fonda.
Meghan has explained her thought process behind the theme, saying in a statement that she has decided to take “the year’s most read fashion issue and steer its focus to the values, causes and people making impact in the world today.”
Suffice to say we can’t wait to read it!
