For Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, Instagram means a whole lot more than sharing candid pics with their friends.
In fact, Harry and Meghan’s official social media platform, which is named @SussexRoyal, has provided a global stage for them to showcase, highlight and announce some amazing causes.
Just scrolling through their most recent posts will tell you as much – the pair have recently followed and shared information about 15 charities put forward by their 9 million-strong following as ‘Forces for Change’.
They’ve also recently shared information about World Lion Day, with a gorgeous picture of the majestic creature in the wild, alongside some detailed information about important conservation efforts to safeguard the species.
But it was another post from the outspoken duo that really caught our attention this month, and it was because of a very special reason.
While many of their posts include sweet images and infographics, there was one post in August that took a slightly different format – a quote.
And not only were the words in the quote super poignant, but they also came from someone very special – Princess Diana.

(Getty)Shared on their signature navy blue background, a quote from the late Princess was written loud and clear in white wording: “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
Accompanying the beautiful quote was a caption written by SussexRoyal, stating: “Words have the power to inspire, which is why we’re happy to share some of our favourite quotes.”
The post continued: “From members of the public to public figures, from teachers and students to young leaders, we begin with a quote from Diana, Princess of Wales.”
The gorgeous gesture has not gone unnoticed by Harry and Meghan’s avid following.
One fan wrote in the comments: “Harry is definitely Diana’s son♥️”.
While another said: “She was an amazing person. It is wonderful to see her legacy carried forward”.
We can’t help but agree – what a wonderful way for Harry and Meghan to utilise their global platform by continuing to share the amazing work and words of the late People’s Princess.

(Getty)This isn’t the only time the royal pair have paid tribute to the Princess on their Instagram page. Back in May, the pair shared a gorgeous picture for Mother’s Day that had a beautiful touch believed to be inspired by Diana.
In the gorgeous picture, baby Archie’s feet are seen being cradled in Meghan’s hands, and in the background, a flower bed of Forget-Me-Nots are seen.
The wild purple flower was believed to be a personal favourite of the late Princess’, so the gesture from the royal pair to include them in their Mother’s Day post was all the more special.
The pair have also used the platform for uniquely personal anecdotes – something we don’t often see from royals.
Earlier in August, Prince Harry penned a beautiful message to his wife for her 38th birthday, writing alongside a stunning picture of Meghan: “‘Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ – Love, H”.
We very rarely see royals share insight into their lives like this, so the post absolutely thrilled royal fans.
