Prince Harry has once again fuelled engagement rumours while attending a ceremony to honour Britain’s fallen soldiers.

During the sombre event at Westminster Abbey’s Field of Remembrance on Thursday, the beloved royal shared a lighter moment with Matt Weston — a bomb disposal expert who lost both his legs while he was serving in Afghanistan in 2009.

Mr Weston, 28, very cheekily took the opportunity to ask the royal the question on everyone’s minds… what’s going on with girlfriend Meghan Markle?

“I took the Mickey and asked where his missus was and he said she wasn’t here,” he said.

“I asked if she would come next time because she’s awesome, and he said he couldn’t hide her anywhere, but I said you wouldn’t have to hide her.”

“I would love to meet her – I think she’s very cool. He’s a very lucky man and she’s brilliant.”

The sombre event at Westminster Abbey’s Field of Remembrance was held to honour Britain’s fallen soldiers.

Prince Harry laid a cross during the ceremony in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The 33-year-old royal also took the opportunity to chat and laugh with veterans in attendance.

So, what is happening with the lovebirds?

According to reports, Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, last month enjoyed a low-key tea party with Queen Elizabeth II.

And while a cuppa with your boyfriend’s nan doesn’t sound like a big deal to us normal folk, in the royal realm it pretty much screams: “We’re getting married!”

By all reports, an engagement announcement is imminent.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Kay said the catch-up at Buckingham Palace was “informal” and organised to “settle any nerves Meghan might have felt.”

It’s believed the meeting was held in the Queen’s private sitting room at around five o’clock and Prince Philip was not in attendance.

“It is the Queen’s favourite part of the day and she loves it when her grandchildren are able to join her. She normally sits for half an hour eating from a selection of sandwiches, fruit or plain scones and cake,” Kay revealed.

Before adding: “The Queen spent almost an hour with her grandson and the Los Angeles-born Meghan. Insiders say that Harry had spoken to his grandmother during the summer at Balmoral asking to introduce Meghan.”

Meanwhile, an insider told the publication that their wedding news is imminent.

“It is not a question of if but when,” the source claimed.
