This year Prince Harry became a married man.

He and wife Meghan Markle tied the knot in a breathtaking royal wedding back in May.

And the entire world has fallen for their romance.

The cheeky prince joked, “I’m slowly starting to feel old…I’m actually quite old. I don’t feel too old, I think I am always young at heart.”

There are many reasons why we adore Prince Harry. Firstly the most obvious, he is a real-life Prince Charming that just so happens to be all kinds of dashing!

He may have been born into royalty, but the good-natured Brit loves to help others. Over the past decade, he has breathed life into his mother’s legacy, continuing her charitable efforts.

Prince Harry has not only served others, but also his country. The 34-year-old spent a decade in the army, even facing the front line in Afghanistan on two occasions. These days, he channels his experiences into helping rehabilitate wounded war veterans.

Serving and fighting for his nation has been core to Harry’s life. During an interview when he was just 21, he said, “There’s no way I’m going to put myself through Sandhurst [Military Academy] and then sit on my arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country.”

While serving in Afghanistan in 2012-13, Harry revealed that his father, Prince Charles, was worried for his safety. “My father’s always trying to remind me about who I am and stuff like that.”

Harry admitted he understood that dangers of being in the armed forces, but explained, “If the guys who are doing the same job as us are being shot at on the ground, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with us being shot at as well. People back home have issues with that, but we’re not special – the guys out there are.”

Prince Harry may be ex-military but he’s also exceptionally skilled at making children adore him.

In 2012 he mused, “I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young.”

Honestly, we should just rename him Prince Charming! The mere cheek!

The 34-year-old joked he’s a bad uncle but Harry’s actions tell us another story. During an interview for his 25th birthday, Harry said with a laugh, “I’ve grown up, everyone’s got to grow up. But there’s something inside me, I’m always going to have that little sort of – how do you say… child streak.”

“I’m still very much a kid inside myself!” Harry has joked. No complaints here!

The red-headed prince also has a deep love for animals and wildlife.

It’s clear that his love for his furry friends stems from his childhood.

We aren’t sure who is cuter in this snap. For once, perhaps not Harry.

After his shining service with the army, Prince Harry became a wildlife crusader, working hard in Africa for three months describing it as his “dream job”.

Harry might be a wildlife warrior, but he’s also a skilled polo player.

Who doesn’t love a sporty bloke? In fact polo Harry is one of our personal favourites.

It’s not just horseback games – Harry is a huge footy fan and is the honoree President of the Rugby World Cup.

He is also fiercely competitive with his older brother, Prince William.

In 2009 Harry declared, “[William has] definitely got more brains than me, I think we’ve established that from school. But I’m much better hands on.”

At the end of the day, the ginger prince looks to his older brother as one of his best friends and closest confidants.

Harry also absolutely adores his sister-in-law, Duchess Catherine.

The pair have an incredibly sweet relationship.

Together, the three young royals form a magical trio.

At the time of William’s wedding, Harry revealed, “To have a big sister is very, very nice…She’s a fantastic girl, she really is, my brother is very lucky.”

It’s been 21 years since Princess Diana’s untimely death but her sons are making sure her legacy lives on. In 2013, Prince Harry retraced Diana’s footsteps by visiting Angola in Southern Africa. Back in 1997, Diana famously visited the country and made international headlines by visiting the victims of land mines and walking courageously over a minefield.

Africa holds a special place in Harry’s heart. In 2007 he mused about what life would be like if he wasn’t a royal, saying, “I don’t know how well this would get on, but I’d probably live in Africa. I’d like to spend all my time out there… As a job it would probably be a safari guide.”

The fifth in line to the throne is devoted to The Invictus Games – an international event in which wounded military veterans compete in Paralympic-style events. “As I’ve continued to work with wounded servicemen and women, I regularly see the power of the soldiers’ stories to inspire others. For every competitor last September, there are hundreds of others around the world who would benefit from having the same opportunity,” he says.

With a keen eye for photography, the prince might be capturing our hearts, but he also loves to capture his own personal memories of all his amazing adventures.
