Gosh, could Prince George get any cuter?
During a trip to Cyprus with Duchess Catherine, Prince William revealed a very special and adorable exchange with his son that happened just before they left.
Speaking to RAF Akrotiri crew members (a British Air Force station) during his visit, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that Prince George was “more of a helicopter enthusiast than glamorous jets” – which got a laugh considering that jets fly from the base that the crew were located.
“George said to me this morning, ‘Where are you going daddy?’ and I said, ‘I’m going to see some pilots who fly fast jets,” Wills revealed.
“George said, ‘if you see a see a helicopter take a picture for me’.”
Our hearts!
His love of aviation is obviously something that has been passed from father-to-son as Wills was a helicopter pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance and also served with the Royal Air Force.
But it was the family trip to Hamburg in 2017 that really cemented George’s love of helicopters and pretty much gave the most adorable photos we’ve ever seen.
After a week-long royal tour of Poland and Germany, the little prince and his sister Princess Charlotte, were taken to an airbus factory before heading back to the UK.
Thank you to some wonderful photographs, we were able to delight in George’s enthusiasm for the aircraft as he got inside a helicopter, posing for some pictures in the driver’s seat, as well as checking out the interior!
Before flying off to Cyprus, Prince William and Duchess Kate hosted a Christmas party for military families at Kensington Palace.
The event was held as a show of solidarity and support for deployed personnel and to acknowledge those currently serving who will be away from their families at this time of year.
The pair mingled with partners and children of army personnel.
The festive event comes after Kate spoke candidly about how excited her three young children are getting for December 25th.
While attending an official engagement at Leicester University on Wednesday, November 28, Catherine got chatting to a couple of avid royal fans who had come to see her.
When asked about her two eldest kids Charlotte and George, she told them: “They’re getting excited for Christmas time, because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up,” she said.
And while Louis, who is not yet one, might be a little too young to appreciate Christmas in all it’s glory this year, he’s certainly on the way: “Louis’s getting bigger, I can’t believe he’s like seven months, he’s getting to be a big boy,” Kate said of her youngest son.
As for Kate and Wills, it has been reported the pair will join the Queen, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan at Sandringham for the big day.
