There’s cute, and then there’s really cute.
A candid new photo featuring Prince Charles and Prince Louis definitely falls into the latter category.
As Prince Charles reached his milestone 70th birthday in November, royal fans were treated to an extravaganza of never-before-seen imagery of the Prince and his family, and the selection is enough to make us swoon.
Last week, we were treated to two new professional images taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson of Getty Images, which features the growing family consisting Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, his two sons and their spouses and his three grandchildren.
One of the images showed the royals in a slightly more candid light as seen above, where they are pictured smiling and laughing at an unknown feat.
But now, it looks like that feat has been revealed as a new image from the royal photographer surfaced over the weekend.
The new image, which is currently the cover of the Sunday Times magazine in the UK, shows Prince Louis and Prince Charles sharing a moment that is, quite frankly, adorable.
In the image, Prince Louis is seen grabbing Prince Charles’ face while the rest of the family look on smiling.
As for Charles, the 70-year-old clearly finds the gesture hilarious and he can be seen having a good old chuckle.
The sweet moment, most likely stemming from young Louis’ curiosity and affection for his grandfather, is enough to make us swoon!
Meanwhile, another new image, which featured alongside the above photo for an article in The Sunday Times shows Prince Charles and Louis sharing a loving cuddle.
Little Louis’ twinkling eyes and Charles’ loving smile is a sure sign these two royals have a very close bond.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, Jackson, who has been photographing the royal family for over 15 years said it was the “happiest” he’d ever seen Prince Charles.
“It was lovely chaos with the children,” he said.
“He is a very hands-on grandfather. He was holding hands with George and Charlotte, and bouncing Louis up and down for a long time.”
He said George was very happy to be sitting on his grandfather’s knee for the photos, and that the shoot was remarkably informal.
“[Charles] is someone with a sense of pride for his family,” he added. “A sense of pride for what his children are achieving.”
Over the weekend, royal snapper Jackson took to Instagram to share more behind-the-scenes moments he captured after shadowing Charles as he filmed the special documentary for his 70th birthday, Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70.
From laughing with his sons to feeding his prize-winning chickens, Jackson shows a loving and relaxed side to Charles in his unprecedented photo album.

One stunning image below was captured just before Duchess Meghan, Charles, Camilla and Prince Harry headed to the royal grandfather’s 70th Birthday garden party event at Buckingham Palace, which took place in May.
The royals look dressed and ready for action in the beautiful image.
In another stunning shot, Charles is pictured chatting to school children at the open-air swimming pool outside Dumfries house – given his adorable relationship with his young grandchildren, it’s easy to see Charles is a natural with the kids!
And in the below rare candid outtake – Charles, Harry and William are seen sharing a laugh together. A slightly more formal image was used from the same photo shoot for Charles’ official 70th birthday stamp collection.
With plenty of tributes, imagery and lavish events to celebrate the milestone, there’s one thing for sure: 70 looks good on Prince Charles!
