After working with the royal household for ten years, Paul Burrell knows more than most how the senior members of the family operate.

And in an exclusive interview with Now To Love, the former royal butler has sensationally claimed Prince Charles will never be King.

Plus he opens up on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s family plans, the Royal Wedding and what Prince William and Duchess Catherine will call their third child…

Why Prince Charles will never be King

The wheels are already in motion with Her Majesty handing over several important roles to her first-born son, Prince Charles to prepare him for his future role as King.

But Paul believes the monarchy is set to get a major shake-up when The Queen passes away.

“It’s a very controversial prediction but we will never see King Charles and Queen Camilla sat on the throne of England. Watch that space,” the 59-year-old tells us from the South African jungle, following a three-week stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Paul continues: “Why? Because when The Queen dies and she’ll be a hundred and something, she will never abdicate. When she dies, I think Charles will do the right thing and say, ‘I’m far too old for this responsibility.'”

“And wouldn’t the world and the Commonwealth much prefer a younger King and Queen – the beautiful Catherine and William? I think that is the way forward for the Royal Family.”

While the palace would never comment on a possible abdication from Prince Charles, Paul also speculates that while Prince William and Duchess Catherine will be fast-tracked to the top job, Prince Harry is becoming just as influential as his late mother, Princess Diana.

The People’s Prince

“Harry is becoming the People’s Prince. He can do things which his brother can never do, because his brother is destined to be King with his wife Catherine beside him,” Paul says.

“You shouldn’t be surprised that in Harry’s mind, everything revolves around his mother. His mother, who the Royal Family tried to erase. Those boys were taken back into the Royal Family and his mother’s name was not allowed to be mentioned,” he claims.

Over the weekend, Kensington Palace announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will invite up to 2640 people, including members of the public from various of their beloved charities, to their May 20th wedding at Windsor Castle.

Paul says he’s not surprised by this gesture and it echoes the same generous and inclusive spirit that Princess Diana embodied.

“Now they’re gown up, they intend to honour their mother in different ways. I’m not surprised Meghan and Harry are inviting people from their charities to the wedding,” the father-of-two notes.

“Harry, above William really, will finish his mother’s work. So watch that space and watch those two, they’ll be coming to Australia very soon [for the Invictus Games].”

Paul, who rose to fame as Princess Diana’s butler and best friend after working for the Princess of Wales from 1987 until her death ten years later, also thinks Meghan and Harry will start a family this year.

“I believe that they will start a family as soon as possible! Harry also wants a large family and wants children as quickly as possible.”

“Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have mixed-race babies within the Royal Family? It’s the way forward to bring this Royal Family into this century.”

Paul says both Harry and William want big families.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s third baby will be a boy – and they won’t stop at 3!

As for the upcoming third royal baby, reportedly due on April 23rd, Paul doesn’t hesitate to say he thinks it will be a boy.

And he’s got two regal titles picked for Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s new prince.

“Albert, because William’s grandfather was Albert. Although he took the name George for the throne and always called Bertie in the Royal Family,” Paul reveals of The Queen’s late father, King George VI.

“I can see William and Kate with a little Berties. Or Arthur! Arthur or Albert – watch this space,” Paul says.

Paul also thinks they won’t stop at three!

“There will be one more! There’ll be four, they want four and there’ll be four babies for William and Kate. Just like The Queen, there was a gap between her [two kids] but William and Kate are running out of time, so they better get on with it! [Laughs]”

Just like The Queen, Paul believes William and Kate will have four children.

Princess Diana would have loved Meghan Markle

20 years on from Princess Diana’s death, and there’s so much the 36-year-old missed out on.

Most tragically, the Princess of Wales was robbed of watching her sons Prince William and Prince Harry grow up. Frozen in time forever, the brothers were only 15 and 12 when they lost their mother.

And now her youngest son Prince Harry is all grown up and set to marry the woman of his dreams, Meghan Markle.

According to Paul, Diana would have “embraced Meghan wholeheartedly.”

“Meghan is everything that she would have chosen for Harry. 36 years old, a mature woman, knows her mind, knows the way forward. She’s not a silly girl. She’s a professional woman who will shape Harry,” Paul, who will return to work as a florist in Cheshire, England, tells Now To Love.

Fergie WILL score an invite to the royal wedding

With the Royal Wedding just two months away, all eyes are on the guest list and who will make the cut.

One guest of interest is Sarah the Duchess of York.

Setting the record straight on the contradictory reports, one minute Fergie is invited, the next she’s not, Paul shares his thoughts.

“I think she will be [invited]! I think she will be embraced by Harry,” he explains.

“Harry knew how important Fergie was to his mother and I know that he would want to honour his mother’s wishes. Fergie will be at Harry and Meghan’s wedding.”
