As rumours of an impending royal engagement reach peak frenzy, Meghan Markle’s half-brother has claimed his little sibling is no stranger to the finer things in life.
In a recent interview with The Mail on Sunday, Meghan’s half-brother Tom Jr. revealed their father won nearly $1 million in a lottery when she was just nine-years-old — a windfall, which he believes helped the actress chase her dreams of becoming a star.
“If Meg marries Harry she’ll have won the lottery of life but dad winning the lottery helped us all,” the 51-year-old told the publication.
“That money allowed Meg to go to the best schools and get the best training,” he added, referencing her education at a prestigious $21,000-a-year LA high school, followed by drama studies at Northwestern University.
Tom and Meghan may have grown up together but are now believed to be estranged — still, that didn’t stop him from commenting on increasingly loud whispers of an imminent royal engagement.
“Meg is someone who has always had laser focus. She knows what she wants and she doesn’t stop until she gets it,” he said.
“She was always the family’s princess but now she’s going to be a real princess and I couldn’t be more proud.”
The comments come as Meghan is said to be in the midst of planning a permanent jump across the pond to live with her longtime boyfriend Prince Harry, with sources claiming her two dogs — Bogart and Guy — will also be making the move.
Speaking with The Sun, a source close to the humanitarian recently explained that she’s preparing to move the doggos from Toronto to London.
“She is very close to those two dogs. She lets them sleep on her bed and they eat only the highest quality organic food,” the insider said.
“She bought them Union flag dog jumpers to keep them warm when they were puppies.”
“She misses them when she is away and will even get someone to FaceTime her with them.”
They added: “The fact she’s started the process of moving them to England is the clearest hint yet that she sees her future living in London with Harry.”
We can hardly wait!
