We’re not sure if we could ever name a combination more heavenly than Duchess Meghan and fashion design, which is why we’re very excited about the royal’s latest gig.
Indeed Meghan, who was recently revealed to be designing a new work wear capsule collection in support of one of her patronages Smart Works, seems to be busy at work to bring the glorious collaboration into fruition.
And a brand new surprise video released by Sussex Royal proves as much.
The couple’s official Instagram account @SussexRoyal has shared a rare behind the scenes look at Duchess Meghan as she works on a photo shoot for her new collection.
The clips, posted via the royal’s Instagram stories, reveal Meghan surprising models who are shooting the campaign to promote her clothing line.
According to respected royal reporter Omid Scobie via Harper’s BAZAAR US, Meghan’s visit to the shoot was kept very secret till the last minute.
“Meghan surprised everyone at Smart Works when she showed up for the shoot,” a source told him.
Meghan was seen in the stunning video wearing a gorgeous blue and white striped shirt by Frank & Eileen. She paired the casual-chic style with skinny jeans and nude pumps.
The video features the Duchess smiling and laughing with models, as well as surveying some of the images being taken of them.
In the background, Lovely Day by Bill Withers plays – and it certainly looks as though the Duchess is having exactly that!
For the exciting new collection, Markle is collaborating with Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Jigsaw, and Misha Nonoo.
Misha is also a long-time pal of Meghan’s, and is believed to be one of the mysterious cupids behind her and Prince Harry’s fateful blind date back in 2016!
Meanwhile, John Lewis and Jigsaw, both of which are known for their corporate-wear styles are also a fantastic fit for the collaboration with Smart Works.
Iconic British Brand Marks & Spencer is also another perfect fit for the Duchess to work with – she’s been known to wear their stylish, yet affordable designs on several occasions to the delight of royal fans.
Smart Works is a charity that helps vulnerable and unemployed women return to the workforce.
The collection will be sold on a ‘one-for-one’ basis, so for any item purchased, another is donated.
It’s expected to be officially launched later this year – and we’re pretty sure going by Meghan’s track record of selling out almost anything she wears, this new collection is going to be very popular.
We can’t wait!
