In the throes of Meghan and Harry’s blossoming romance and just a month after their first date, the Suits stunner jetted on a European holiday with her best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney in August 2016.
In a collection of holiday photos posted to Jessica’s Instagram page, a beaming Meghan can be seen soaking up the sun on the Amalfi Coast with a mischievous grin on her face… we’d be smiling too!
In another snap, Jessica and Meghan hold up their cocktails as they kick back on a sun lounger on the beach.
“Girls trip has officially begun with @meghanmarkle (which means don’t bother me unless you have to),” the mother-of-three penned.
Ironically, another of the Jess’ posts was signed off with the hashtag “#FakeHoneymoon.”
At the time, it’s believed Meghan had only told one another soul about her romance with the royal – her best friend and travel buddy Jessica.
Indeed knowing how Meghan and Harry’s romance was to play out, it makes looking at this holiday album of a beaming Meghan all the more fascinating.
When Meghan returned from her European jaunt, her relationship with Harry progressed at a rapid rate with the new couple secretly jetting off on a secret trip to Botswana in late August.
As the couple have confirmed in their engagement interview, it was love at first sight and these photos truly prove the impact Harry had on Meghan.
Meanwhile, despite choosing not to have a maid of honour or any bridesmaids Meghan has involved Jessica every step of the way with her wedding planning.
The well-connected Canadian stylist, consultant and wedding planner is rumoured to be Meghan’s unofficial wedding planner and jetted into London last week to help Meghan with her final wedding dress fitting.
The mother-of-three and her presenter husband Ben Mulroney, who is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, were believed to be some of the first people Meghan introduced Harry to.
Jessica and Ben Mulroney are considered one of Canada’s most glamorous power couples and according to a recent report in Vanity Fair, it’s believed their social ties helped connect Meghan to Harry.
The pair are close friends with Justin and Sophie Trudeau as close friends.
“The Jessica Mulroney relationship was key in that it opened up the eco-system of her world. It’s what probably connected her to people like Justin [Trudeau] and to Sophie, and I think also to Markus [Anderson] and Soho House,” Toronto-based reporter Shinan Govani told Vanity Fair.
Meghan and Jessica, who could pass as sisters, are inseparable.
