Mark your calendars folks, because Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are headed for Africa, and the tour looks set to be their most colourful yet.
In an exciting new update from the royal pair, it has been revealed exactly what they’ll be getting up to with their new baby Archie, and suffice to say we’re excited to see the spectacle.
Harry and Meghan’s official Instagram account, Sussex Royal, revealed the details on Friday, September 6, sharing the statement: “In just two weeks, Their Royal Highnesses will embark on this official tour focusing on community, grassroots leadership, women’s and girls’ rights, mental health, HIV/AIDS and the environment.”
The statement continued: “This programme has been many months in the making, and The Duke and Duchess are eager to focus their energies on the great work being done in Southern Africa.”
The tour will also include a meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a South African Anglican cleric and theologian who is famed for his anti-apartheid work.

They will also join “Waves for Change” on Monwabisi Beach.
According to Hello! magazine, it’s not entirely clear which engagements we’ll be able to see baby Archie, but the new parents definitely hope to include him in parts of the program.
“It’s difficult to schedule. He’s five months old. But they hope to,” a source revealed to the publication.
In another special reveal, Sussex Royal’s statement says Harry is particularly proud to “continue the legacy left by his mother [Princess Diana] with her work in Angola, as he joins Halo Trust again in an effort to rid the world of landmines”.
Harry will also travel (presumably without Meghan and baby Archie) to Malawi, where he will “check in” to see the British Army’s partnership with African Parks. He will also be working on the ground to support local communities.
The royal pair seem very excited for their upcoming royal tour.
(Getty)The Prince is also expected to deliver a new initiative whilst in Africa – a Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy three-country partnership between Namibia, Botswana and Angola.
This will aim to “protect forest and wildlife corridors around the Okavango Delta.”
The trip will also include the launch of a new initiative, of which Prince Harry has been working on in the background.
(Getty)Duchess Meghan meanwhile, will spend her portion of the tour focussing on local organisations to “promote women and girls’ health and education, entrepreneurship and leadership,” according to the statement.
The pair have expressed their anticipation to visit the African continent and are “grateful” to connect with those on the ground there.
“We look forward to seeing you soon!” the statement ended.

The tour marks the pair’s second official overseas royal tour as a couple, and their first as a family of three.
In October last year, Meghan and Harry visited Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
On the first day of their tour, the pair made the exciting announcement that Meghan was pregnant.
Now, almost a year later and with a brand new baby son, it seems they’ve come full circle as they prepare to jet off once again.
