If you needed any proof that Meghan Markle has a lot of time for her friends, this is it.
In a surprise move, reports state the new mum to baby Archie has flown to the United States at the last minute – and it’s for a very important moment she hopes to celebrate with one of her closest pals.
A new report from The Times reveals the 38-year-old has flown to New York City for the weekend to support Serena Williams as she competes in the women’s singles final at the US Open.
The publication claims Meghan flew via a commercial flight to the States, accompanied by her security team.
A source revealed to the publication that Meghan had stayed up late to watch Serena compete in the semi-final this week, and was “excited to support her friend”.
The semi-final match between Serena and Elina Svitolina ended at 1am London time, and seven hours later, Meghan had made the split decision to board a flight.
Earlier this week, it was reported Meghan and Harry would fly to Balmoral this coming weekend to visit the Queen who is currently staying there.
But it seems plans have now changed for the Sussex family.
Expected to fly back at the end of the weekend, Meghan is in for a busy week.
As announced on Wednesday, Meghan will officially end her maternity leave on Thursday, September 12 as she launches her capsule collection with charity Smart Works in London.

The collection launch will mark an exciting first for Meghan, who hasn’t attended any official engagements as a royal on her own since the birth of baby Archie in May.
Following that, Meghan, Archie and Prince Harry will travel to Africa on September 23, where it is expected they will attend several public engagements as a family.
Prince Harry is then understood to be travelling to Malawi and Angola, where he will progress the efforts being made by his charity Sentable.
With such a busy time ahead, we’re hoping Meghan can get plenty of sleep on the plane to and from New York.
Now, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the Duchess at the exciting women’s final on Saturday!
