Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is making her final preparations for motherhood, with the royal baby expected to arrive in just a month or two.
She has just jetted back to the UK from New York City, where her celebrity pals, including Serena Williams and Amal Clooney, threw her a gorgeous baby shower at an upmarket Upper East Side hotel.
And it seems Meghan’s A-list pals have also gifted the mum-to-be a beautiful piece of jewellery.
Meghan wore a $2000 “Mummy” gold nameplate necklace from US designer Jennifer Myer, as she was photographed leaving her NYC hotel this week.
The necklace is handcrafted in 18-karat yellow gold and is described by the brand as “the perfect gift for yourself or the new mum in your life”.
It comes in both the British/Australian and American spellings – “Mummy” and “Mommy” – but it’s understood Meghan’s girlfriends gave her a necklace with the British version.

Meghan’s friends have already proven themselves to be super generous – Serena Williams and Amal Clooney reportedly picked up the $200,000 bill for the event – and Amal also apparently lent Meghan her $43 million private plane to fly home from NYC to the UK.

But for those of us without rich friends, we’ve found the budget-friendly version of Meghan’s beautiful necklace.
Aussie brand My Nameplate Necklace creates personalised necklaces for between $49 and $69.
The necklaces are gold-plated, not solid gold like Meghan’s, but they’re just as cute and we can’t tell the difference.
If you’re willing to pay a little bit more money, you can get a 14ct gold version for $179 – still a bargain.
You’re welcome!
