She might be on official maternity leave, but Meghan Markle isn’t showing any sign of slowing down.
Indeed the charismatic Duchess has surprised us all by making a handful of post-baby appearances, and her most recent one has led us to believe that she’s got some big things in store for us over the coming weeks.
After her first official photo call with baby Archie and Prince Harry a few days after giving birth in early May, new mum Meghan was positively glowing.
Over the following weeks, Meghan is understood to have enjoyed some down time, settling into life as a family of three at Frogmore Cottage.
In early June, the annual royal extravaganza event known as Trooping the Colour occurred – and with Meghan still expected to be on maternity leave for the foreseeable future, there was no guaranteeing that she would be in attendance.
But lo and behold, Markle made a dazzling return to the spotlight, wearing a gorgeous navy blue Givenchy ensemble and riding into the event by carriage alongside Harry, Duchess Catherine and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Then, just when fans thought the next glimpse we’d get of the Duchess would be at baby Archie’s christening, Meghan took us all by surprise at the end of June when she stepped out to watch the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees play baseball in London.
The match was in support of the Invictus Foundation, which was founded by Prince Harry.
Opting for another midi-length dress, this time designed by Stella McCartney, Meghan’s animated display at the game was enough to prove that she’s ready to be back in the spotlight after giving birth – and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Is Meghan Markle going to Wimbledon?
So with two unannounced appearances already under the Duchess’ belt after giving birth, we can’t help but wonder when we might be seeing Meghan next – even though her officially maternity leave is expected to last until the start of the British Autumn.
But funnily enough, it appears we might not be waiting that long at all.
With Wimbledon underway in London this week, many royal watchers are anticipating a surprise appearance from Duchess Meghan, especially given her long-time pal Serena Williams will be playing.
Meghan also attended Wimbledon alongside Kate Middleton in 2018 – so she’s no stranger to the tournament.
And as it happens, respected royal reporter Emily Nash recently revealed on Hello! that Meghan was indeed making plans “day-by-day”, depending on how she is feeling – with baby Archie being her number one priority.

Where else might we next see Meghan Markle?
Archie’s christening is another likely event where we’ll be seeing the Duchess. And while the baptism has been widely reported to be a private affair, it’s likely we’ll still see pictures at the very least from the event.
Nash’s report on Hello! also suggests we might see Meghan again in mid-July, where it is understood she is keen to attend the London premiere of The Lion King movie.
Taking place in Leicester Square on July 14, Nash said a final decision on Meghan’s appearance will be made closer to the event itself.
The special night will support Harry’s conservation work he’s carried at with the Royal Foundation, and is expected to include a slew of A-list attendees.
Guests will likely include Beyoncé, Sir Elton John and Pharrell Williams – all of whom have been involved in the production of the live action remake.
Suffice to say a combination of some of the world’s greatest music talent along with team Sussex would be a sight we won’t forget in a hurry.
Fingers crossed it happens!
