We’re not sure what’s more exciting, the fact that The Lion King‘s live action remake is finally here, or that Duchess Meghan just made a show-stopping return to the red carpet.
Today we might edge towards the latter, especially after seeing the stunning royal as she stepped out at the UK premiere of the Disney film in Leicester Square on Sunday, July 14.
Attending the star-studded affair with her husband Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan was a sight to behold wearing a stunning black Jason Wu dress, which featured sheer sleeves and satin detailing.
The Duchess paired the gown with a matching black clutch and chic sling-back heels. She opted to wear her hair styled in a slick bun, a very glamorous choice!
Going by these new pictures, we think it’s safe to say the former actress has made the red carpet return of the century.
The event was also attended by a golden guest list including Beyoncé, Donald Glover and Seth Rogan.
Yep, you read that right, Meghan Markle and the global phenomenon that is Beyoncé were in the same place at the same time.
Excuse us as we sit here completely lost for words at the perfection of this collaboration.
And in the moment quite literally everyone had been waiting for, Meghan and Beyoncé actually did meet on the red carpet.
In fact, they shared a quick chat and embraced each other like old friends.
Captured in a video by royal reporter Rebecca English, the pair’s stunning meet and greet was documented in all its glory, and suffice to say we’ll just be sitting here watching this moment for the foreseeable future.
In the incredible video, it’s understood that the stunning singer spoke to Meghan about Archie, saying: “The baby, so beautiful. We love you guys.”
When Harry was then introduced to Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z, the group then chatted about being parents.
Discussing where the musical golden couple’s children were, they explained that they had left them at home, before adding that they would have loved to have been at the Disney premiere.
And then, in a beautiful unexpected moment, Jay-Z gave Harry some wise advice about parenting.
“The best advice I can give you, always find some time for yourself,” he said.
Harry and Meghan attended the star-studded event together to celebrate the European premiere being held in support of Harry’s conservation work through The Royal Foundation.
The connection to Harry’s efforts has also resulted in a brand new campaign from the film called #ProtectThePride, which aims to protect the dwindling lion population across Africa.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan have been known for their extensive work in conservation.
In fact, the pair both travelled to Africa in the early stages of their relationship to aid the efforts being made to protect wildlife in the continent.
Furthermore, later this year the Sussexes will travel back to Africa, this time with their son Archie, where it is expected they will continue strengthening ties with the countries there, as well as continue their conservation efforts.

At the red carpet premiere, both Harry and Meghan chatted extensively with people who are doing incredible work for conservation and the environment.
So with that being said, a night that includes meeting Queen Bey, along with so many other inspiring people is undoubtedly one that will not be forgotten anytime soon by the royal couple!
