Duchess Meghan is rocking a new, rather poppin’, accessory these days – and we, quite frankly can’t take our eyes off it.

We are of course talking about the pregnant royal’s baby bump, which seems to have well and truly popped between her latest appearances.

Stepping out for a charity Christmas carol service this week with husband Prince Harry, the 37-year-old royal caused a stir among royal fans the world over as they revelled in seeing a very defined bump visible in her midnight-blue ensemble.

Indeed, the pictures were hard to ignore when you consider we’ve spent the last month X-Raying every image of the Duchess for a hint of the impending baby bump.

And that’s not to say we haven’t been disappointed, Meghan’s tummy has certainly looked a little fuller than usual, and the way she automatically cradled it at public events had us all talking (and ogling).

But it seems the time of the bump has officially arrived, and we couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Like all new photos of the Duchess, fans were quick to speculate (and then furiously hit ‘add to cart’) on the designer of her midnight-blue ensemble.

It is believed Markle wore a Seraphine maternity dress to the event with her husband, which incidentally is the same designer favoured many a time by Duchess Catherine when she was expecting.

Along with the Sussexes, the evening carol service was attended by Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews, which was the first time the pair had stepped out for an official event following the birth of their first son, Arthur Michael William in October.

The new mum wore a burgundy coat to the event, which was rather similar to the ensembles Duchess Meghan and Kate wore to events in late November.

It seems that the royals can’t help but take style cues off each other – and perhaps we should take note. Berry and burgundy seem to be the colours of choice this festive season!

Meghan, who read a sweet poem during the carol event, will be well supported when it comes to maternity wear over the coming months.

Sister-in-law Kate Middleton made a name for herself as ruling the maternity clothing roost when she was expecting her three children, particularly during the chilly months when she wore a plethora of chic button-up coats to keep her – and her bump – nice and cosy.

Meanwhile Pippa, whose bump was most prominent during the warmer months of the English summer this year, opted for floaty summer dresses that oozed style.

With the Middleton sisters setting the example, Meghan has very fashionable shoes to fill when it comes to her maternity wardrobe, but we don’t think she’ll need it.

Before Meghan was pregnant, before she was married to Harry even, Kate delivered some very wise advice to the soon-to-be Duchess.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Kate had been “advising Meghan about royal fashion, what protocol is expected and how she may have to adapt in the future”.

A source added: “She has provided Meghan with names of some of the favourite UK go-to designers on everything from dresses, coats and the all-important British hat.”

And going by their recent twinning moments, we can’t help but think the Duchesses are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the fashion world!
